Saratoga PD Requests Spiked Stop Strips

During a recent town council meeting in Saratoga, Wyoming, Police Chief Mike Morris requested the purchase of six spike strips, called Stop Sticks, to aid in high-speed pursuits. The police chief explained that suspects being pursued on Interstate 80 often take random exits to evade the police, and the spike strips would help officers minimize the danger for both officers and suspects. The current set of spike strips was purchased in the 1990s and is not readily available when needed. The town council approved the purchase of three sets of Stop Sticks with carrying bags for an approximate price of $1,600 to $1,700.

As a serious bigfoot researcher, I find it interesting that the Saratoga police chief is requesting to purchase spike strips to aid in high-speed pursuits. According to Chief Morris, suspects being pursued on Interstate 80 often take random exits to evade the police. This raises the question of whether bigfoot, if real, could use similar tactics to avoid detection. The spike strips, called Stop Sticks, cost nearly $500 each and Chief Morris has requested authorization to spend close to $3,000 for six sets of the spike strips. Councilwoman Kathy Beck questioned whether municipal police departments typically have spike strips, to which Chief Morris responded that he believes Saratoga is the only town in the county without them in their patrol vehicles.

In conclusion, while the purchase of spike strips may seem like a mundane topic, it highlights the importance of law enforcement having the necessary tools to effectively do their job. As a bigfoot researcher, it also raises interesting questions about how elusive creatures like bigfoot may evade detection and whether similar tactics are used by other fugitives.
